Summary: Two paths lie before her, and only she can decide which one to take.
She's standing on a precipice, figuratively speaking. Two paths lie before her, and only she can decide which one to take.
It would make so much sense to be true to herself--including her past self--by walking away from the Doctor, knowing that he needs help. He's only working to save a bunch of humans; they can't be worth risking a life.
Yet, for all that, she can still remember the times when they stood side by side, uniting for a common goal. She remembers how much fun it can be to not oppose the Doctor.
What a dilemma.
