Summary: Vito, after making the truce with the Five Families
Vito was happy. Michael would be coming home soon. He'd been away far too long. Carmela would be pleased.
These negotiations weren't all for show. Vito was getting on in years and it wasn't his place to be going to the mattresses anymore. A time of peace would be good for everyone.
When he was gone and laid to rest, it would be Michael's turn to finish things. It wasn't the life he had planned for his son, he had hoped for something in politics, but Vito had every confidence Michael could handle the inner workings of the family business.
