Spike’s eyes flickered with hunger and anticipation as he wandered Sunnydale’s dark alleys.
Drusilla’s voice echoed in his mind like a sinister whisper that bid him to do its will and his body moved on its own, driven by the urge to feed.
Finally, a figure appeared at the end of an alley, walking unsteadily toward him; for a fleeting moment, Spike stopped in his tracks and stepped back, shaking his head in fear. But Drusilla was already at his side, whispering, “remember what you are, Spike.”
With a snarl he lunged forward, his fangs bared, claiming another innocent life.
