N gazes at Ghetsis, the man who brought him up. Any affection that he might have felt for him is fading, replacing itself with pity. Even pity, though, is hard to summon, now.
Was this man always so unbalanced? Ghetsis is a bitter wretch now, disconnected from reality. So frustrated in his ambitions that he's edging toward the brink of madness. Or perhaps he was always beyond that brink, to begin with.
Once, N viewed him as a father. Looked up to him. All he can see now is how truly small, how miniature in spirit, Ghetsis has always been.
