Money had been tight in the Pad, lately, making it something of a special occasion when Mike brought a tub of ice cream home.
"You like it, guys," he asked after everyone had dug in.
Micky's face puckered abruptly. "It's too sweet," he complained.
"I don't think it's sweet enough," Davy disagreed. "Peter, what do you think?"
Peter was silent, but his eyes were panicky. He pointed to his mouth.
"I think it's freezing his tongue," Micky suggested, receiving a nod of affirmation. "Guess it's too cold for him."
"See if I do you guys a favor again," Mike muttered.
