Buffy adjusted her battle-ready garb—a leather jacket and a stake in her pocket—for another night of vampire slaying.
Another night of fulfilling her duty, over and over again, until one of those creatures would claim her life once more.
Would the next time be the last one?
Or would her friends keep bringing her back until there was nothing left of the original Buffy Summers?
Was she still herself?
How much of her was walking in her skin and how much had been left behind in her grave?
And why all of a sudden she felt the urge to sing?
